Ah, I remember reading somewhere (possibly usbvisor.sourceforge.net) that
when using the uhci driver, don't use the UHCI Alternate Driver
(CONFIG_USB_UHCI_ALT). If you are, try the original one (CONFIG_USB_UHCI).

Also, setup the usb serial like this..

CONFIG_USB_SERIAL = m
CONFIG_USB_SERIAL_GENERIC = y
CONFIG_USB_SERIAL_VISOR = m

if not already.
